Timing, planning and execution. That’s how you make great football images whether you are covering the NFL or a backyard game.
This webinar with Sports Illustrated Staff Photographer Bill Frakes will explore how action and feature images are made during actual games from Little League titles to the Super Bowl. Bill Frakes spends most weekends in the fall covering the best college and NFL action. After 15 national championship NCAA games and 25 Super Bowls, the week of football he enjoyed the most was a week spent with a team in a tiny Western Nebraska town.
Luck is when preparation meets opportunity. Understanding the game is useful, but understanding motion and emotion is more so.
Bill will explain how to position yourself in the right spot to take advantage of the action and the light.
He will talk camera gear and inside football–how you combine your gear, your knowledge and the photogenic atmosphere provided by all levels of competition to make compelling and dynamic action images.
I am looking forward to learn about this type of photography.

I’d really love to participate in this webinar, but cannot. Are there other options for how to review the material? Will there be some form of recording that would be viewable on-demand?
Thanks!
Yes there will be a recorded version of it available in the archive page.
