Giorgio Perottino was born in Turin, Italy in 1977. Passionate about photography, photojournalism and the visual arts for as long as he can remember, he has travelled and photographed in Europe, Asia and Central America.
He turned professional in 2001 and was a freelance news photographer for agencies including Fotogramma (Milan). Towards the end of 2005 he started working with LaPresse Photo Agency and it is through them that he now distributes his sports and news photography both nationally and internationally. He was accredited photographer at the 2006 Olympics and Paralympics in Turin, has photographed Italian “Serie A” football championships as well as a host of other national and world level sporting events across all disciplines. In 2008 he photographed at key events including the European Football Championships and the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. Somehow, he also finds the time to dedicate himself to personal research and photography projects and exhibitions.
